Beanman IZ? Where the heck did that come from? As I remember it, Kimball and I were looking to print a catchy slogan on two red T-shirts to announce our quirky superhero comic.
'Beanman Lives' seemed a little to tame and overdone. I think Kimball came up with 'Beanman IS': meaning: Beanman just 'IS", no explanations or justifications for his existence are necessary. A very esoteric statement. In typical Beanman goofiness 'IS" quickly became 'IZ'
